These works come from my continual obsession with colour and my investigation in to re-creating, precisiely, the colours I see in the landscape – man-made and natural. I am then painting simplified landscapes using stripes and blocks of colour and texture, adding the odd bit of pizazz with flourorescent pigments, and text as collage. The colours are carefully created to compliment one another. Works are mostly 82 x 97cm, oil, pure pigments, sand, collage on canvas. (Some with an acrylic base).
